Unpopular opnion: Metallica is OVERRATED

I've said it before and I've said it again. The best music is what you've never heard before. I don't know how this band was like a magnet with popularity, but they're not even that great. They're better than Megadeath and Iron Maiden but that's it. I still don't care for them.
You know what, I'll be firm and say I don't like them. I don't like Metallica. Way too exaggerated, uninteresting and played out. There's nothing that excites me and I'd be pretending if I was. James might be a cool guy though but I don't care.
Here's another one while I'm at it. Their best albums were Load and Reload.

I mean I'm not really a fan of metal but prime Metallica definitely had talent and wrote good songs. They weren't overrated.

The issue is just that it's all so overplayed that I can't even listen to the songs anymore.

It's like listen to Bohemian Rhapsody. It's a great song, but it's been played so much that you'd just rather not ever hear it again.

i have no idea who megadeth and slayer are but sometimes i feel like people name some other bands that are "better" to be edgy since metalica was adopted by the masses.

They’re all thrash bands from the 80s though Megadeth is mainly from the early 90s
