Ruths Chris steak house - worth it?

I'm planning to take a few family members...is it worth it? I'm about to lay down probably about $500+ for the meal so I hope it's good.

Did that include alcohol? Restaurants are so freaking expensive no wonder reservations were wide open for a Friday night.

I'm not sure it's worth 500+

But everything was pretty good that I got there. I remember eating the fuk out of the sweet potato mash.. and maybe macaroni and cheese? I definitely. Destroyed like 2 sides. We all got a chitload of food and passed it around

Good food, but shouldn't be as expensive as it is. I've been a few times and for two people I always end up paying between $200 and $300.

I like the Lobster Mac and Cheese

I'm gonna say its worth it.

Havent' been but a lot of places have just as high places and you will not get the consistency that RC gives you. Went out to an expensive steakhouse recently and thought to I shoulda went to RC tbh. I would much rather go to RC than a highly rated Yelp steak house ever again.

btw: all predicated on IF you are gonna spend that money anyways.

I mean

You're not gonna get an aged steak at home

That's part of the gimmick

They're good ,not worth it imo

But now ,going out to eat anywhere isn't

Social activities in general are slowly being taken away from us

Pretty soon the middle class will be living in vaults ,there will be no reason to go anywhere other than the grocery store

Wow my first post in a long time -

Ruth Chris is worth it if you get a good one. Salt Lake City was great, Galleria in Houston was terrible.

The not so original one in New Orleans was a very good one.
Sleepy.

They're ok..honestly, if you're trying to impress someone then rock and roll with it but I fancy making a steak at home myself.

I like Ruth’s, but would only go on a special occasion. You can make steak about as well at home, and some butchers offer dry aged meats. Or you can have a dry aging setup at home, but I would not unless you eat a lot of steak often and know what you are doing.

I prefer other high end steakhouses to Ruth’s Chris’s. I find them to be lowest of the high end steak houses

Mastro’s is better if you get a porterhouse

I'd much rather go to Bavette's in Vegas. But this is in MI.

the biggest advantage to restaurants is the stoves, grills and other tools most kitchens dont have.its pretty hard to replicate at home.really as long as you have a good grill thats all that matters most of the time
