I read a story on it a couple days ago. Supposedly someone tipped off the investigators based on his obituary. I think he listed his real parents and just changed the year of his birth but kept the same birth date otherwise. The daughter and mom planned to go to police a year after he died but investigators showed up prior to the year being up.

Even if they lose the money from the robbery, talking about it could still be a good financial move if they can recoup the losses in a book or movie deal.
