I would lay in bed and just eat and chit and maybe take a hot bath and stretch every so often, and that would be that.

Pick up a good book and study it . Like anything else new you have an interest in its rewarding

Anything and everything. My employees all have an educational budget that isvery flexible. Some of them use it for scuba lessons, music lessons etc instead of CPD. Learning new skills is a large part of the company ethos.

I am personally always learning something and am fortunate to be in the position where I can research anything I want. I don't have to wait on grant approval; I just buy any equipment necessary and hire/reassign people with the relevant expertise.
Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!

ethnomusicology. The other would be Russian. I've been learning it the last few years via duolingo and other resources but I would love to study it more in depth. Might as well learn the language of our enemies. One great thing our state has is that after you're 55 you can take courses at state universities for $10 a credit hour. Unfortunately all of the Russian courses are during the day when I'm working. However I have met with their social club and meet with them to work on my conversational skills.

I own a science and enginering consultancy. I'm personally a superconductor specialist, but I have a lot of very talented people who know lots of things, in lots of areas that I don't.

There is all this expertise at my fingertips and it makes me like a kid in a sweetshop. I assign myself as a junior to any interesting projects and learn on the job. Somebody will mention something over lunch and I will say "that sounds cool, we should look in to that further".

Sometimes we will follow ideas through to patents or product development and other times it's just for the pure joy of exploring new ideas.

Mechanical, electrical, electronic, civil, structural, environmental, math, physics, chemistry, materials science etc, there is a big world out there, full of wonder and begging to be understood.
