Would you tell someone screaming in public to stfu?

I was on the subway this morning and this homeless dude would randomly scream out nonsense. Not even at anyone, just shouting to the sky.

I kinda wanted to tell him to stfu, but I decided against because he seemed completely insane.

He could have had tourette syndrome but, from my experience, tourette is laced with very loud expletives.
When I was a carpenter back in the 80's I had to work with a guy who had it pretty bad.
It got very weary to be around it all day.

LOL I thought you meant someone just being an *******.

I snapped on a guy at a bar years ago for that because he kept screaming throwing a tantrum.

It was more about 'everyone is here drinking, talking and having a good time while some idiot keeps screaming like he's trying to fight or something'.

It's very jarring and disturbing and he was kind of ruining everyone's good time because he realized it was a way to get attention.

After like the 10th time my friends and I (as well as everyone else) got basically interrupted by some guy whining across the bar at the top of his lungs I was pissed enough to confront.

I don't stand for a person or people making other people uncomfortable, especially when the uncomfortable people are too meek to say something (happens a TON with creepy guys and women).
