When was the last funeral you attended? Who died?

When was the last funeral you attended and who died?

Also, when was the last time you had a DEATH NOTIFICATION?!

My dad's best friend growing up a couple months ago. I was very close with his daughters. He was the play-by-play guy (second job) for a prominent college baseball program and also played there when younger, and they did the service with family on the field and everyone else in the stands. He played second base in college and they put a framed picture of him in his uniform out on second base away from everything else. Seriously only time I've cried in a long time, when I walked through the portal into the stadium and first thing I saw was his picture sitting out by itself on second base.

A friend of mine who was 85 passed recently. I used to play Traditional Irish Music with him weekly. Over the last few years his health declined and the last half a year he was in hospice. I and others from the local Trad Irish community would visit him every week to have a chat a play some tunes for him. Of course after the funeral services we had some food at the reception and about 30 of us had a session and played a lot of tunes he liked

I've had to attend 700 funerals the last week or so from people i knew who took the covid vaccine. Very frustrating and time consuming.
