Rented an EV Car and it's amazing.

Currently on a trip and rented an EV car because that's all there was available. A Kia ev6 to be precise and it's amazing. Driving is so smooth, vehicle feels futuristic, and it literally goes from 0-100 in under 4 seconds. Technology is amazing but unfortunately, it's still to early in its infancy for me to consider getting one. Those free chargers around malls and my hotels are awesome though.

Those Hyundias are getting written off for a bump on the battery protector plating. $61k for a battery on a $55k car

Im going to buy an EV with the deductions here in Cali, so far I rented several of them, and I like the Hyundai Ioniq the most. The only downside of the EV is finding an open charging station, I use the EVGo fast charge and most places only have 2 of them, I almost was out of battery and finally got to an open one but it was in the middle of nowhere next to a dollar tree at night it took 40 minutes to full charge but I was scared as fuk waiting in the car, like some mugger might come out.

they got Tesla Charges in abundance every mall, outlet center, shopping center has at least 5 to 10 of them.

What would be hard for me is home charging. I live in apartment and can't run and extension cord from it. The free EV charging stations are level 2 chargers and There's 1 level 3 supercharger station in my whole state. Not being able to home charge it for me is a deal breaker.

they are nice and smooth when driving. I like my plug in hybrid and its EV mode.

Wish Biden didn't have an EV mandate though. Soon gas powered cars will not be sold due to the mandate.

EV's are one of those things where they seem great until you have to live with them long term.

it's a sad state of affairs that this "green" agenda is being forced

i enjoyed watching movies scenes like in Roadhouse where "I thought you'd be bigger" Dalton buy some sh*t heap for $1000 cash to take to his work as a Cooler - to protect his Benz and have cheap transport because he knows what to expect. as well as other movies where characters randomly buy a cheap car, drive it another place and just leave it or give it to someone.

this way of freedom will vanish if the WEF have it their way. and it's another detail that won't be in any future movies - not that it makes a movie. but adds creativity and coolness that some may never do.

May want to rethink the Hyundai. These are the cars im referencing about the $61k (cdn) battery replacement. More than the car is worth. I would avoid them until they figure out their batteries out.

I very briefly had a BMW i4; got rid of it for a Mustang

Ex girlfriend has a Genesis something, she loves it despite the fact she's retarded to the point she can't plan trips properly to find chargers when she'll need them.

Fuk an EV, I'm in the market for an old school muscle car with no computer in it at all

and what about post apocalypse movies where people manage to find random old vehicles and get them running with gas they manage to find? brb trying to get away from zombies or mutant barbarians etc and have to find electric car and hook it up to solar panels or something to charge for 24 hours and then it wonโ€™t even run since it needs a firmware update

meanwhile youโ€™re starving to death cuz your soy supplies ran out

Lefties will be the first to go extinct, it's a product of a decadent society with not enough to worry about.

Hmm, which is the more sustainable fuel source post-apocalypse, refined petroleum extracted from underground and shipped from thousands of miles away, or the sun's limitless energy...

why not admit toyota got it right the first time around with a prius if saving cost is your goal.

the original ones could still run even if the EV battery was completely dead, while their competitors needed to have it installed/charged. Then a replacement could also be done for only a few K and even refurb batteries could be ordered. for cheaper.
No idea if the latest models are the same way.

I got a golf cart last time I golfed and it was a lot of fun.

Lets be real, evs are just fancy golf carts controlled by an app.
