This song was written for the soldiers in the 1st IRAQ WAR in 1991... all the famous singers from that era.... as a kid 10yo i loved this song.

It was very popular on the radio for about a month.... oh how things have changed. Imagine all the pops stars of today doing this??

NEver understood the uproar over that. SO many artist have lipsynched live performances. Been going on for decades. Even back then, I thought it was common knowledge that many artists do it. Thought it was pretty widely accepted until Ashley Simpson got burned at the stake for it.

Always really liked this song. The video as well. The first half of the 90s had a lot of really solid female artists putting out good music. And doing so without shaking their smelly asses around like they do now. Between that 80s teen pop stuff and late-90s Britney in her schoolgirl uniform, there were some really good female singers who were pretty big back then, but tend not to get much mention when looking back on that period.
