Workers in foodservice have become the most self righteous pricks. You can't get a fukking hot dog made within a 30 min timeframe. Who tf waits longer than it would take for you to just cook your own food? Like, why would I just sit there when I could cook, clean, and eat in the same amount of fukking time. Where is the value in that?

I don't care about food cost, I care about saving time. If they can't do that then what is tf point?

I SWEAR people are only patronizing these places out of sheer habit now.

Yeah I never go out to eat, but when I do its a disappointment. This time it disappointed in every way possible.

Fast food costs as much as a home made steak. I'd rather just bake a potato and sear a steak than deal with this.

I make my own pizza at home now from scratch... It's a fun hobby when you get better & better at it.

Majority of people are more likely to **** it up than anything, wasting time and money in the process.

Most people are not cooking food better than the average restaurant because they don't have the skill, equipment, ingredients etc.

You're not going to make a better pizza than your local pizza place on the first try no matter how good you think you can be at making pizza.

If you can cook, or you're willing to learn (it's not that difficult, but again something people who know what they're doing make look easier than it is) then cooking for yourself and family is absolutely the best way to go.

Most of the time the only reason I go out to eat is I'm feeling lazy and CBA to cook, but I know full well that the food I'm getting won't be worth the money given I can cook some pretty good stuff.

I eat fast food maybe a handful of times a year. Every time I do it destroys my stomach and reminds me why I barely eat out.
