I'm not married so there's no bias here, but I think it really depends on what kind of woman you marry. Many people these days overlook red flags and incompatibility issues when being married because they don't date based on values, those people will go through hell in their marriage. Others who do look for values and compatibility are likely in marriages where there is little to no friction, and those marriages work out great.

people don't realize the importance of a good marriage or knowing someone well, or even thinking about being with someone for a very long time and what that means when you get old and a whole lot of other things which I've seen cause all sorts of crazy issues

You will likely not find them in the west, and if you do, they will likely be foreign women as their families keep their values in line, IMO.
