Out of these 4 hard rock/metal guitarist which would you enjoy

Sitting down and just listening to their guitar work alone.

Eddie van Halen
George lynch
Steve Vai
Randy Rhoads

I personally do not enjoy listening to a chain saw on every song. It's foolish I believe to say one of these 4 is more skilled than the other.

I would go with Rhoads. Simply because of his chops on classical guitar.as well.

Next Eddie because he had every one of Claptons pieces down note for note.

Lynch and Vai ARGUABLY the two best on the list if comparisons were made which I stated I think it's sort of silly to do but both these guys almost get that nod.

Thoughts?

Out of those I would pick Randy Rhoads, easily. It would be interesting to see what he would play as I felt we never really got to see the best of what he could do

Dude. I picked those 4 because lne really does not outshine the other at least not by very much. It's kit far to say Rhoades doesn't deserve mention as possibly the most talented cause of his untimely death we never got to see what could have been. But vai and lynch I believe takes that honor and if I had to choose one of of those two. Vai would get the close nod.

What Randy Rhoads did on those first two Ozzy albums was legendary. I said he had the most talent, not the most longevity or accolades that come with it.

Don't know about that. Any even just OK guitar player can sit down with some tabs and learn crazy train fairly easy.it may not sound all that great but a person would be able to tell what you are playing. I can't say the same for say eruption..

Of course crazy train is not a good example.lf Rhoads chops but you get what I'm saying

Tony Iommi is inarugably better than every guitarist listed itt, and also has the best full body of work to back it up.

Lynch is great but I rarely hear him in this conversation. Huge fan of Dokken.
