How chit is modern comedy these days?

I just watched this video



You don't need to watch it. Joe Rogan bolstering a bunch of unfunny asswipes and they are apparently selling out arenas. The jokes include bangers like ****ting your pants onstage then wiping your ass and showing it to the crowd. This also seems to be coupled somehow with the trend in podcast cringe where random nobodies think people want to hear their banal thoughts and generic takes on things. Dood bro we're just hanging out and talkin bout life n **** ya know? Comedy has turned into just making content

I also watched Chappelle's latest special on Netflix and it was decent. I got a few laughs, definitely. He seemed to be more of a storyteller at times but whatever.

Will comedy turn it around and start getting good again or will the new era of incessant content for content sake drown out any available talent?

You would think with the era of pervasive internet culture people would be more negative and derisive, letting these hacks know how absolutely **** their comedy is. But apparently not....

well, joe rogan might be the most unfunny comedian of all time, so it would make sense that he endorses trash.

But why is it all so popular? Regardless of how popular his podcast is nobody seriously thinks his MMA friends and fat guy buddies are funny. Why the non-stop podcasts with these morons?

The only thing you can really joke about anymore is how retarded the present day woke culture is, and even then you'd be spending most of your time simply acknowledging the reality of it.

Honestly a lot of the funny people are creating content on social media.
The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

Modern comedy isn't that bad but there's not a lot of great comics

A lot of them are creating shorts.
