CA is worth it in you can live in the best areas.

Bruh even Beverly Hills ain't what it used to be, crime has been spilling over there as well. My sister currently lives there, complains about the state of things and the politics all the time.

If California is so great you have to wonder why more than 800,000 people are leaving the state every year.

Meh, all my family is established in California (already have multiple houses and properties in me and my parents names) which is why I came back from NM. I can definitely understand how it would be hard to move here on your own as a transplant or only making an average wage, but i'm doing pretty good for myself (currently living a tad east of La Jolla in University City) and I simply don't see the riffraff and homeless that the misc likes to paint as happening ALL over the state.

Also, New Mexico is objectively a chittier State than California, so staying there was out of the question. I guess I have my biases, but I simply can't imagine myself living anywhere else. Every other state i've been to always seem to be "missing" something. Its hard to put my finger on it.

I also don't like being landlocked so that omits the vast majority of the country even if I wanted to move somewhere else;



-The Pacific Northwest just rains all year.

-Middle America is barred waste land with miserable weather.

-Nevada and Arizona become the surface of the sun during the summer.

-Texas and the bible belt are a bit too "country," don't have the jobs in my sector (biotech) and depressingly impoverished for my liking and the humdity doesn't help.

-The east coast also has chitty weather and everyone is forced to be reliant on public transportation.

-and Hawaii is an island where you pay more to live than California, but without the high paying jobs to compensate for the high cost of living.


I don't expect people to see California the same as I do. i'm aware i'm in a unique circumstance.
