I liked the first 3. (Tokyo drift was sick as a switch your brain of, have a few brews kinda film). But phuck me down and call me Sally have they fallen of. Tried watching the latest one and not even a bottle of rum could allow me to suspend belief that much. Wish they'd either reboot and go back to the street racing roots or just stop completely. There's definitely room in the market for films like the OGs so I could see a reboot working. I know hollywood goes OTT with reboots but they're normally rebooting films in over saturated genres. Besides need for speed there aren't really many films based around street racing that I can name. Maybe the Duke of Hazzard jfl.

I'd rather watch the dukes of Hazzard TV show any day of the week compared to the fast and furious movies.

Waylon intro alone is better entertainment. I know my opinion is the minority but I just never got the love for those films. I guess it's a car thing.

the first time I watched the first film I was probably about 10 years old, and back then nfs underground 2, midnight club and games like that where pretty popular, so having these movies and them games it was kind of like a GOAT period of young adolescent entertainment, so I probably have a soft spot. Tokyo drift was cool just because of the drifting and there were some ltc babes in it.

The need for speed games were a lot of fun. Always enjoyed it much better than true Sims like grand tourism or fordza.

used to be a lot of good car games, I liked the import ones so you had nfs, juiced (best drifting on any game in juiced 2), midnight club. The new nfs don't have the same feel as the old ones. It's gone from making some cool looking import car to showroom models. I like forza horizon for the customisation and the driving isn't to bad. I just don't like the whole festival vibe. The og most wanted with the street racing and police chases was peak racing gaming in my opinion.
