do you ever wonder where your trash goes?

like can you imagine your trash in a country far away or in the ocean? Still intact or destroyed. Still floating or burried or burnt. Imagine its still there.

A local landfill.

I drop it off there, and each them bury it sometimes with a machine

Not really I go to the dump myself a few times a month probably.

It gets incinerated, life mystery solved.

In my area most of the recycling ends up incinerated with the trash.

No one listens to the list of 100 things that don’t go in recycling

Local recycling sorter breaks down by 10am every day

Rest of recycling trucks drop off at the incinerator after that

I have wondered and joked about what a thousand years from now archaeologists will find in our trash pits and theories they will develop to explain what such and such trash item was used for.

It goes to the local landfill. What I think is neat is how well they manage it.

A year from now they will know exactly where they dumped todays trash.
