Currently at a 91, which is in the top 1% of all games released.







Can’t believe it’s already 3.5 years old. Don’t know if I’ll play at 4k/60 or 1440p/120 on ps5 pro

Good for them! Can't get past the Last of Us team enjoying the smell of their own farts more than any other game dev company, though. When I tried playing LOU over again all the impact from my first playthrough was gone, even with years between. Was just bored. Didn't have that problem with Uncharted 2.
And I have no interest in playing LOU2 after the way the devs handled the controversy of their struggle session story writing. But it looked to have pretty decent gameplay and graphics. Just not for me.

TLOU2 was a solid entry. Solid gameplay, solid graphics, good performance, good quality. The story didn't land for me personally (I'm curious to see how they translate it to TV because it doesn't seem like it makes for compelling TV) but some people loved it. I had it sitting down at like 7.5/10 personally, but IMO that's a perfectly fine score. I don't rank many games up in the 10/10 range myself as there are very few games that I would deem as "perfect". It's definitely worth a run through. I thought it was about 5 hours too long tho.

Given how poorly they did season 1, I wouldn't hold my breath for anything special.

Crazy looking at comparison videos how negligible the differences between the original and remaster are. To score a +90 is crazy but I guess when it comes to Sony, it's different. Sony could release PS1 grand tourismo 2 with just a 4k upscale and it would probably become a nominee for GOTY.

Very fair and balanced take. I didn't agree with all the people saying it was a 0/10 game, even if the story was basically a bunch of self-righteous, pretentious propaganda, the gameplay clips looked like a massive improvement on the first game. But I also didn't agree with everyone saying "10/10 masterpiece!" because the chunks of story I watched on YouTube were among the worst I've seen in gaming. And have no interest in the show, will never watch that crap.

What I don't get is why Days Gone got chit on so hard. Was it that buggy at launch? Played it a year or two ago and was shocked at how god damn fun it was. Amazing gameplay and mechanics, the horde AI was breathtaking and fun as fuk to fight, and loved upgrading my bike and weapons as the game progressed. Also had a solid story that didn't feel like it was lecturing me. Sad it will never get a sequel, there was even an Easter Egg in there tying it to the Syphon Filter universe.

There is a girl that is called "he" in the game... but it's a B plot and hardly the the focus of any part of the game. There certainly isn't a sex scene involving a trans person in the game.

Dont remember how far i got in the game, but I will probably try to get back into it with the remaster.

I remember enjoying all the exploration stuff, but then whenever the story focuses on Ellie being a depressed ****, i just lost interest.

Yeah Ellie in part 2 is just just one of those closed off dykes who acts like an emo all the time. It's such a stark contract to part 1 where she's fun, innocent, optimistic and full of personality. I ended up rooting for Abby by the end of the game way more. Despite the retarded bodybuilder look she was charming and charismatic.
