depressed as **** from covid aftermath
i got covid for the first time over christmas and almost a month later i still can't walk up a hill without going out of breath
i do some light lifting now but man this is ****ing depressing if i have to deal with this for the rest of my life
question for misc:
how long did it take for you to recover? did you guys even fully recover?

Fark , my buddies kid refused to let Covid effect his partying, so he brought home Covid twice and infected the rest of the family .
Yesterday he told me his son and him got a huge rash across their chests right after they got over the china flu .
His son’s rash went away but his father just told me his is still there and worse than ever two years later .
Apparently he’s telling me it’s a deep purple colour, almost more like bruising . I’ve never heard of this personally till now .
Oh and should mention the son at age 35 got an aggressive strain of diabetes type 1 after he got sick with the china flu .
He’s blaming it on the vaccine, but the diabetes specialist is claiming it’s the China flu causing this huge uptick of cases .
My investor is 26 and was working at our pulp mill making good coin .
I asked him why the fk he’s working at a bank now and he said he got the china flu and had a hard time breathing, could barely walk a block , and unfortunately has long term china flu health effects and had to quit because he has permanent damage to his lungs and a low oxygen saturation now , brutal .

It took a few months the first time I got it, I got it early December and remember thinking I couldn't believe how fuking long it still affected my breathing. I don't know exactly how long it took but by July I was doing cardio again. I lifted like a week after covid was over though.

Look into ways to bolster your immune system. This sort of thing happens to people after RSV and the flu sometimes too. There are multiple strategies and frankly I don't feel like typing it out in long detail again. I'll simply mention that it can't hurt to get some NAC powder and take a gram twice a day, same for quercetin. And though it's not easy a 3-5 day water only fast. The fast causes a large amount of generation of new immune cells while some of your old ones are done away with. Exercise may be more taxing, but you need that as well; do what you can even if it's just a few miles of walking per day. People always talk about how the water only fasts cause auto****y, but that's not the main reason for the fast. Exercise causes even more auto****y than fasts do. Again do what you can, and don't go buck wild with exercise since that can fuk you up worse. Keep it light but consistent.

Started feeling like schit during the night. When I woke up I got tested at urgent care. Cortizone shot/z-pak/antibiotics was put on the list for monoclonal antibodies but didn't need them. Within 8ish hours I felt good enough to get a light workout in. For about 3-4 days I couldn't do intense cardio due to feeling shortness of breath/high heart rate. Reduced endurance in the gym. Within a week I was completely back to normal.
Of I were to get it again I'd go cortizone shot/zpak/ivermectin/monoclonal antibodies immediately.
Unfortunately they are still telling doctors that treatment is ineffective for Covid. And doctors tend to go by whatever medical literature they get on their computers/tablets. You basically need to know someone that will try something experimental or prescribe you whatever you want.
Regardless of what any of the 'experts' try to tell you. That cocktail works. Unfortunately if you don't have connections in the medical industry good luck getting treated.

It's weird how it affects people differently. I've had it 3 times, knock on wood it's been mild for me.
My 92 year old grandma (now 94) had it and she was walking 2 miles on the treadmill throughout her bout.
I know someone who was put on a ventilator and was hospitalized for months and was in an induced coma. He is a physically fit mid 30's active person. His wife wasn't sure if he was going to make it.
I know another 450lb old neighbor of mine that was wheel chair bound. He got it, had oxygen for 1 night and then was released.
My friend's dad who is obese but active was also put on a ventilator and they thought he wasn't going to make it.
My mechanic was in his mid 50's and a smoker and obese. He died from it.
I know the misc says it's 'just a cold', but I've never known a single person to be hospitalized to the brink of death from the cold or flu (though I know it does happen) and I know a couple people that seriously were on death's bed and 1 that died. There does seem to be a larger risk if you're obese, but healthy people get knocked down hard. I don't like the randomness.

I asked him why the fk he’s working at a bank now and he said he got the china flu and had a hard time breathing, could barely walk a block , and unfortunately has long term china flu health effects and had to quit because he has permanent damage to his lungs and a low oxygen saturation now , brutal .
