bought a dyson v11 a few years ago ($300 refurb from dyson)...i'm not big on buying crap but these things are life changing as far as cleaning. would never buy another vacuum with a cord. the fact that it's small and just propped up in a corner at all times means i'll vacuum once a day...sometimes twice. a corded vacuum is a hassle to break out.

you can change the suction power...just hit a button and you're in low power which is good for rugs because it doesn't suck them off the floor...then you also have auto and high power

There's a reason professional cleaning companies don't use your Cosco-special consumer models. Stick to a bagged upright with a steel handle. They are lightweight, rugged, and designed to last. Old is gold. You can miss me with all that plastic Dyson crap.

Your loss. I spend maybe $5 per year on 3M HEPA vacuum bags. I had a bagless vacuum cleaner and i fuking hated cleaning that son of a bich out. I remember changing them outside on my balcony with the whole cannister inside a plastic grocery bag and still my sinuses would be clogged with dust. Don't get me started on the foam filter. What a mess. Keep doing it though lol with your poverty dirt devil. I'll be changing my bags maybe a few times per year and lording over you with my improved suction, mechanical reliability, and far less weight.


The greatest scam was thinking moving to a consumable-less design would somehow be less work than a design that relies on a consumable, even though the consumable-less design manages to be more time-consuming and less efficient. You're creating a new 10+ minute chore when bagged chads spend maybe 1 minute swapping in and out a bag for pennies. I mean come on it's a paper bag, it's neither expensive nor wasteful. Amazing how consumers see a design with a consumable and instantly think that it's inferior to the design that doesn't have a consumable. The power of marketing. You kind of have to be middle-IQ or above to see through the scam though.

I've had my V8 animal for almost 4 years now. Just replaced the OEM battery with a knockoff for $28. If I get a year or 2 out of the replacement I'll be happy.

i don't have allergies but i mean the chit in my vacuum shouldn't be toxic considering it was all laying on the floor anyway. take it outside to garbage can and empty it...bang it on the inside of the garage thing to get any dust that remains. perhaps have a clog once every 3 months that i have to manually pull out.

You need a real vacuum to actually clean your house.

I have a Roborock S8 btw so im not hating on robots at all. They just dont do the job as well as an old school real vacuum cleaner that hits every corner & leaves every carpet etc spotless.

Robot for daily or twice day then real vacuum weekly or twice a week on top of that for a real cleaning.

American cleanliness standards might be different tho as you walk around with shoes inside, something a Norwegian would NEVER do. We take our shoes off every single time we enter someone’s house.
