Yeah Metallica was always fuax metal, Korn tried to be hard.

Korn have a kind of generic formula that you can retrofit to most of their songs too, OP.


But let's not deny that Master of Puppets and ....And Justice for All are absolute timeless metal gems. That massively crunchy guitar sound still sounds heavy AF today.


My qualm with Metallica is mostly Kirk Hammet. He's a basic bitch lead guitarist. Here is all his solos go:

1. Double stop bend.

2. Running up and down a pentatonic scale using too much wah wah.

3. Tremolo picking along one string.

4. Diving the whammy bar.
