I don’t think it was there when he was younger Patrick Bateman would never have allowed that on his face.

Never noticed that before. Regardless, I'm sure his brain just tunes that out. If you have a prominent nose, your brain basically tunes it out of your vision. If you close one eye you can see the end of your nose.
