At what point do we pull the plug on the internet entirely? I sincerely believe that the internet and social media have far more cons than pros, and as time goes by they will severely ramp up especially with AI.

There was as Rogan podcast years back about a guy that studies this and the epidemic of this age range especially females mental illness and suicide rates.

Lots of reasons why things are so messed up these days, one of which you mentioned earlier with doctors handing psych meds like candy(and yes to younger and younger people every year). And kids are so coddled that they are unable to handle even the smallest adversity because they’re never had to. But the internet thing is a huge aspect. More and more life is spent in the digital realm. When you were a kid, you could go home and all of the bullying was not near you. Not saying it didn’t still affect you while at home, but you could be away from it in a safe space to process it and work through it. Now kids and teens don’t really have that safe space. Even when you’re alone in your room, people can still be commenting on profiles, sending messages, making content to mock you and sharing it with people, etc. etc. It’s just a terrible environment that we don’t really understand and kids have, for the most part, been expected to just figure out and navigate for themselves. Combine all of those factors plus more, toss in a pandemic which forced them into isolation and pumped fear porn into their head for a year and things are just really fukkt up now. And that’s before even getting into the teachers and other adults telling them there’s no such thing as gender or all the other clown world bullsh!t being pumped into their heads. Then add in dopamine addictions from various apps and the horrible attention spans that go along with it….we could go on and on, but the point is, things are fukked now.

The person responsible for suicide is the person who chose to kill themselves. Everyone has bad things done to them. Somebody making fake porn of you is really not that terrible in the grand scheme of things.

The odds aren't very high because only Prozac is allowed to be prescribed to children and teens. Possible but they aren't handing them out like candy like you believe. My wife is a pediatric psych physician assistant and very rarely and usually extreme cases are they prescribed.

Sorry, but that’s just not the case. Perhaps where your wife works, but that doesn’t apply to the country as a whole.

According to their numbers, it was over 10%(of teenage females) in 2019. And whatever it was, we can be almost certain that it’s higher now after the pandemic and continued march in this direction.

Prozac has a long history of making people act nutty.
