Broscientists, do you need to change workout in order to grow?

Feels like when I change my workout a bit, I grow way quicker with DOMS and pupms being brootal.
Even changing the gym with the same workout regime makes a difference since the equipment is different which makes the lifting angle different
I'm just coping, or making changes makes you grow easier?

Broscientist here. Your muscles don't grow from the pump or DOMS but rather the breaking down and regrowth of your muscle tissues between rests.
