Relocate microchip factories from Taiwan, to Mexico. ASAP.
Relocate and build chip factories in Mexico.
1) help Mexican economy a little bit, might help provide jobs and curb illegal crossings a little bit
2) there's still poverty slave labor down there too
3) we won't have to worry about this relocation business ever again because Mexico is so close to us and won't be in danger
4) cheaper shipping costs to USA
furthermore,
Taiwan legit is ethnically Chinese. They are a land that was populated by exiled Chinese after the civil war in 1949 (?). The chinese government that lost to the communists. They ran in exile to Taiwan and set up shop there.
But make no mistake, they are chinese. They speak mandarin chinese. They are culturally chinese.
Why the hell would we go to war over some internal battle like that.

Chinese are good at chips because of their high iq. Low iq mehicans are only good for stirring coca barrels of crack *******. Mehicans would be useful for big pharma drug manufacturing.

You'd be surprised how many engineers Mexico has graduating each year. The US and multiple other countries (including China) are already setting up economic zones and huge industrial parks in Mexico. It may merely be a matter of time before microprocessors are made there, with some help from the US and Europe. Divestment out of China is already happening at scale, with largely India and Mexico to pick up where the Chinese are left off. China's going to export less (it already is) and have to figure out how to have more internal demand to function.

Microchips or chips and salsa?

It'd be easier to just declare war on china, because of supply lines and whatnot. Thats what bullittEV told me, he assured me of this point and claimed that it was far beyond my understanding. I suspect he's just jewish though.

That and, FYI, the written language is different today because the communists changed the written language.

Hey, you know what you can never find in a gym that's mostly Hispanic? The 10lb plates.

The faulty logic behind the recent push for American plants is that one simply starts making microprocessors if you throw enough money at it. Of course, JUSA is probably onto something where Biden and the rest of the senile congressional kooks think that's where we're getting our snack foods.
I think the time to try building up Mexico and other Central American countries has passed, especially now when we have Mr. "Hugs, Not Bullets" in charge over there. Seeing as how they're doing fück all to stop anyone from crossing into the US, so they're complicit and far from being our friends who we should invest in for high value assets. Mexicocouldhave pulled an El Salvador and now Ecuador to put a stop to their own cartel problems, but instead they're behaving more like California while also sitting idly by as so called "refugees" defy the very conceit of stopping at the nearest country to pollute ours instead.

We need to bring back manufacturing at every level. Will it hurt, sure, for a while. But we'll be better off for it in the long run. It will also fuk China over big time, which is always good.

Taiwan is already moving into America, no? I think they are building a factory in Arizona but there are logistical issues.
Mostly, it's a bit of culture shock. The Taiwanese have lax safety laws, work long long hours and lots of micromanagement. American workers don't want to work in those conditions. It won't make big news though because learning that the Taiwanese are hard to work with will damage international relations, at a time when the US really needs good relations with them.
I doubt Taiwan will sell it off to foreign investors either. They've got a massive bargaining chip there. They hold a geopolitical security interest and they know this keeps the West allies in case of a Chinese invasion. There's even a term for it called "The Silicon Shield".

Manufacturing microchips is one of the most technologically challenging manufacturing processes known to man.
Very few countries can successfully achieve it mexicans are not smart enough nor are Americans.
Especially on the scale, level and quality of TSMC.
