ITT: Anyone else lifting at 7am on a Saturday? (lifters GTFIH)

Heavy ass push day this morning, 7am. Temperature is a cool 10C in the garage. Hit it pretty hard this morning, got an Arnold cumming-level pump. Death's Leprosy album blaring out of my old fuked up dusty staticky 25 year old boombox, volume maxed out.

Who else is lifting heavy this weekend? What are you training?

For your time....

*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*
*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*
*Coffee black as midnight on a moonless night crew*
*Fat shame my cat on a daily basis crew*

Nope but I will be lifting tomorrow. Sunday Wednesday and Friday are my lifting days. Been really pushing on my quads even though it hurts like hell. Surgery to clean up the failed repair next Thursday and want as much muscle back as I can get before then.

Nice. I always tend to hit legs right in the middle of the week, couched in between pull and push days.

I typically do full body on Sundays then legs Wed and upper Friday. That way I hit everything twice a week.

I don’t lift anymore. Don’t really see the point and it’s always kinda cringy in the gym.

Sometimes when I have a really intense week and I can't hit my gym as often as I'd like, I'll do a combo push/pull on Friday morning. Quite intense but the pump is otherwordly.

Lifting 100% improves your life. You should consider rebooting that interest.

Thanks I know I feel better after a lifting sesh but I feel like the benefits elsewhere are marginal the older you get.

I bet! Lifting is the best man. I can't wait til I can get fully back into leg workouts and cardio.

Chest/tris this morning around 8am. Feelsgoodman.

Been doing zero alcohol since Jan 1 except for a few days while on a trip with friends. Makes a big difference in the productivity of my weekends.

Usually go Saturday afternoon but our bjj gym was holding a fund raiser for a guy here in Ireland that got a bad injury a few weeks back. Dude broke his back & neck in a training accident. Brutal.

I used to lift bright and early in the morning, but got a little tired of the old people at the gym that show up then. It would be cool to be able to go hard at the gym without geriatrics staring at you throughout your entire set. Now I go late morning/12 noon. Lifting early in the morning is a good feeling, tho.

Today is my core + cardio day. Yesterday was legs, tomorrow is my pull workout.

Yes, I only train in the early AM. 6-7 AM is a typical hour to start. Very rarely do I ever do sessions in the PM. I have been like this for the last 15 years.

I remember training after work at 6pm as a youngin'

Seems unfathomable to me now. I haven't trained past mid morning in so many years.

I'd love a home gym but would need a pretty massive facility to fit in everything I'd want. There are just too many good machines out there
