Walking on water is just the sun's reflection on water. This is also why he had a crown of thorns (suns rays) and a sun behind his head on so many paintings. Jesus isn't a man, he's a human representation of the sun. In other words sun worshippers simply adapted their chit into another story and everyone bought it.
