FF7 Rebirth Demo

Heavily rumored to be coming tonight after the state of play. Supposedly the flashback. Can’t believe I’m about to play as Sephiroth if the rumors are correct.

I get that but for all you know the demo might be an older build that isn't as good in some way or another as the final product. Also I don't really see the point in playing a section now and then having to wait weeks to continue unless you're on the fence about the game or desperately want to play it NOW. I'd prefer get the full experience at the same time so everything will flow better.

Yeah but playing the demo will have you wanting more, which you have to wait for anyway. Would you prefer get sucked off for 20 seconds today and 9:40 mins tomorrow or just get the full 10 mins tomorrow?

Demo is so fukkin good.


I played about an hour and left it.


The character models look super good, but everything else feels more of the same in terms of graphics. The lighting has improved, but the IQ is pretty bad on Quality mode, I'm not sure what res it's running here, but it's definitely not 4K or even a decent 1440p I think. It just looks quite muddy in the world. I guess that's the sacrifice you make for having a bigger world and honestly, the bigger levels and environments feel so fukkin good and nice. It doesn't feel like you're constricted to linear tight hallways like the previous game and the scale is top notch.

There's also a new jump button to explore higher areas, so seems like verticality will play a bigger role, and that helps the exploration.

The combat holy chit is tight and as fun as ever .... Easily mogs FF16.

That said, this game is looking like it's gonna be the goat ... I can't wait sink hours and hours into this game.


That said, this game definitely makes a good argument for having a PS5 Pro version. At least give me that 4K 30 with pristine IQ.

Yes. I’d say you’d probably get 30-40 hours on a first playthrough. Maybe more assuming you aren’t trying to speed run through everything.

Its not one game anymore. This is like saying you refuse to play the last of us until 3 comes out. Its retarded.

Anyway the demo is incredible, this is probably goty unless something very random comes from nowhere.

Blurry fuking resolution strikes again. Legit all of the recent games I played have been looking poverty af with muddy visuals. I'm tired of hearing myself complain at this point. I know it's not the console because Forbidden West and Ragnarok look amazing even in performance mode so I guess new games just have to dumpster the resolution to work well on base console now.

Sad I can't get hyped for anything in 2024. It looks like I'll just be playing Tekken 8 till the ps5pro is out.

really looking forward to this, but am going to wait for the PC release on 5/29. Will probably replay the first FF7 remake (on pc this time) to get ready for it.

You're in for a rough time ... I think people are saying that the peformance iq mode is even softer lol. 1080p or worse maybe.
