Calling out engineers

Is your job that stressful? Strong wtf..

From last month...

The Google engineer accused of beating his wife to death with his fist inside their California home was “quiet and staring blankly” at dinner the night before the murder, according to a friend who ate with the couple.

The unnamed pal joined Liren Chen and his wife, Xuanyi Yu, who also worked for the tech company, for supper at the couple’s $2 million home in Santa Clara on Jan. 17, according to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail.

The friend told police that he was worried over the “noticeable change in Chen’s demeanor,” according to the documents.

When neither Chen nor Yu answered his phone calls the next morning, the friend stopped by their house but neither answered the door, the Santa Clara district attorney said.

But he spotted Chen, 27, inside, “motionless on his knees, had his hands in the air and was staring blankly” and called police around 11 a.m. for a welfare check.

When cops made their way into the home, they found Yu’s body with severe blunt force injuries to the head on the floor of the couple’s bedroom behind where Chen had been kneeling, officials said.

Chen — whose clothes, legs, arms and hands were “spattered with blood,” according to the DA — said, “I punched my wife” when asked by first responders how he hurt his hand, according to the documents cited by the Daily Mail.

The engineer’s arms were covered in scratches and his right arm was “extremely swollen and purple,” the DA said previously.

From yesterday, I believe.

A former Meta engineer, his data scientist wife, and their two 4-year-old twins were found dead inside their $2.1 million California home in what police are investigating as a murder-suicide.

Anand Sujith Henry, 37, allegedly killed his sons and fatally shot his wife, Alice Benzinger, 38, in a bathtub before turning the gun on himself, sources told KTVU.

The couple were found dead inside the house with gunshot wounds beside a 9mm pistol and a loaded magazine inside one of the bathrooms Monday morning after police were called for a welfare check, authorities have said.

That house would be under $200k in rural Kansas.
