Tried Speed Dating and LMAO its over

My friend invited me to speed dating cause he didnt want to go alone.

The results were a perfect example of why dating is broken now. The women all picked the same 3 guys.

There were a few more men than women at the event, like maybe 15 guys and 10 girls. Of the 15 guys, 3 got ALL the matches. All 10 girls only liked some combination of the same 3.

And this is the entire problem with modern dating. Too many all want the same guys. If you're one of the lower ranked guys there's just nothing you can do. There's no longer a market for you cause women all want the top men or nothing at all.

Thats not true, there were definitely above average looking guys and girls there. the problem is all the girls pick out the same guys.

Online dating apps ruined everything.

Women have always all wanted the top guys BUT what used to happen was their dating pool was limited by their location (usually the guys in their town for example).

So, once those guys were taken they HAD to give other dudes a chance otherwise they just had no one.

NOW, they have access to all the top guys in the world thanks to online dating.

So their perspective is forever skewed and they will never settle while in their prime.
There is but one path....we kill them all.

if youre above average looking you will not need speed dating. online dating and occasionally will get hit on a bar without even needing to try. didnt someone post a vid of speed dating on misc before everyone was fat ugly & no game

This is true, I've always said apps are the biggest problem because they give women WAY too many options.

But I think an overlooked factor is just the way things have changed culturally such that women would rather be alone than settle. In the past, women wanted/valued a family enough that they settled more happily for someone that would be a good husband/father.

Now they just dont care anymore. they would legit rather be a single mom or just single and childless if they cant get the top men.

Nobody NEEDS to do anything but it was an event that appealed to people for different reasons. You dont have to be desperate to want to meet someone IRL.

Speed dating, akin to online dating, is designed solely to reward attractiveness.

Lesser attractive brahs need to meet women in such a way that allows a connection to develop, thus reducing the emphasis on raw attraction.

But you’ll also fail at that cos you can’t connect with people for chit. I genuinely feel for you OP.

Ok, if you just want to decide I'm lying go ahead. I really dont understand comments like this. You can just decide anything you dont want to believe is a lie but then whats the point of being here.

yes absolutely no pressure to have kids anymore and no stigma for being a single mom. heck i know a 31 yr girl with 3 kids by 3 men and she's dating a 19 yr old cook at a chain restaurant.

Speed dating isnt new and it used to work a lot better because the women were looking for different things. If it was always something that only worked for the top men it wouldnt exist anymore.


No matter what you do or where you go women's standards are inflated. There's not even an opportunity to play the long game because those women arent waiting around. They are online dating/fuking guys and not thinking about you while you're trying to build some connection.

Is this something you have pulled out of your arse or are you basing it on data or evidence of some kind?

If there is any data on speed dating, I’m willing to bet it highlights that the most conventionally attractive women (and men) consistently get the most matches, and I also bet this pattern has not changed in years.

The evidence is that every dating generation before this didnt have this problem where women were chad or bust.

Women didnt behave like this before. Even the earlier days of online wasnt like this.

This a new thing. And so, highly doubt speed dating was this ultra shallow thing where you needed to be top 20% to get a match when nothing else was like that either.

the problem is the mentality of modern women.
