Adding 7 more people to the population is probably the worst environmental impact you can have on future pollution of earth.

He always cites global warming as a reason why everyone should drive electric cars.

When has he said he does? He's trying to get people to Mars.

He's having more kids because Western fertility rates dropping. Most of the developed world is dropping below the replacement rate of fertility and will become increasingly dependent on immigration.

There's literally hours of footage of him doing talks about it.

And LMAO at pumping out 7 kids to support a phony economic ponzi scheme.

How about we do what Japan did? Accept a mild economic wind down, no immigration, and a peaceful culture/clean cities/safe mobility.

What evidence do you have that suggests he cares about the environment, did he say that or are you just trying to suggest his business model and personal beliefs are the same thing?

Decisions are based on money man, not personal beliefs.

You are correct in that if he has made that claim, it is clearly a deviation from his behavior which is clearly hypocritical and I would suggest shows a lack of integrity, for money. Which is common in the world.

Billionaire are not good people man. It isn’t like this one aspect of his thinking is what would make him a good person or not.

I can post like 12 more videos, but the 3 minute video of his talk I posted above is the easiest and quickest to watch.

I find it hilarious that he's trying to sell his EV's in the name of climate change, then has 7 kids (but now another miscer is saying 11 kids LMFAOOOO)

You can literally use a semi truck as your daily driver, and live in a 20,000 sq foot mansion and you'd have a smaller carbon footprint than the guy who has 7 kids.

Their culture would only vanish if they opened their borders while simultaneously slowing their birthrate. If you slow the birthrate, but maintain your border, your culture can sustain for a very, very long time, dare I say forever.

I wouldn’t point towards Japan as something to strive for. Terrible suicide rate, working yourself to death(literally) is so common there’s a name for it, birth rate that won’t sustain the country for much longer, and a growing incel emergency. Obviously the West has its own problems and we absolutely have to figure things out or we’ll likely be gone as well….but going the Japanese route isn’t a good alternative.

I saw the video you posted up there. He is just as much an NPC as the rest of us.

A common psychological tendency all humans share is that we do things without really knowing why, then we justify with made up nonsense after the fact.

Or he could be straight lying about his personal opinions on the environment because his boss is telling him too.

It is likely he just has no idea he is a hypocrite and seriously believes himself a savior of the world because of his EV regardless of his other behaviors, which does align with his mentality.

He may believe the lies he tells himself or he may know he is a liar.

TOKYO (AP) — Japan’s birth rate declined for a seventh consecutive year in 2022 to a record low of 1.26, the Health Ministry said Friday, adding to a sense of urgency in a country where the government is seen as too slow to take measures to address its rapidly shrinking and aging population.

The average number of children a woman gives birth to in her lifetime fell to 1.26 in 2022 from 1.30 a year earlier, tying the record low from 2005, according to the annual population statistics. The fertility rate is far below the rate of 2.06 -2.07 considered to be needed to maintain a population.

Japan’s population of more than 125 million has been declining for 16 years and is projected to fall to 87 million by 2070. A shrinking and aging population has huge implications for the economy and for national security as Japan fortifies its military to counter China’s increasingly assertive territorial ambitions.

How is that a bad thing?

If Japan's population declines to 87m by the year 2070, that is still an absolute FUK TON of people per sq mile.

I'd argue you could get Japan's population down to like 10m and it'd be a healthy population density- good self-sustained farmland, and infrastructure would be a cake walk.

B b b b b but what about the PONZI scheme?

Why does he launch rockets every other day?

What do they say, its like every rocket launch offsets all the teslas carbon savings or something like that.

What I mainly want to know is where are the land speed record rocket cars?

he owns a rocket company and car company and all the engineers. yet the land speed record is still out there since like 1997.

I feel like the mining for the batteries is more damaging to the environment than just having gas vehicles.

I don’t think I am making that up? Anyone else hear that?

So him destroying rockets every other day isn’t offsetting any positive. It is adding to the other environmental damage already done.

Pretty evident from Elon's comments over the last couple years that he doesn't believe in Global Warming, but it is extremely important for it to continue to grift ungodly amounts of money from the tax payer, so he will continue to pretend it's a real problem.

Elon is more honest than most billionaires but he didnt get to where he is by being honest all of the time. He saw a way to milk the government and was ahead of the curve on EV mandates.

Lol yeah sure, try maintaining japan's infrastructure with 10m people, and most of them will be old. 1.2 births per woman = each generation is about 60% the size of the previous one. Once you enter a downward trend like that, it's very difficult to reverse. The subsequent generation will be 60% the size of the previous generation, which was already only 60% the size of the one before it.

Elon doesn't care about global warming. He's a capitalist and is capitalizing on the current situation to be rich. Anyone with 1% iq knows electric vehicles are worse for the environment than ones running on fossil fuels
