I received a copy of my brother’s trust and I’m golden

Basically if/when they pass him and his wife will leave everything to me. They have an only child but apparently she has legit mental issues that they’re concerned about. It’s been known for a while but apparently has gotten a lot worse lately, hence why they had to update their trust. I think the straw that broke the camel’s back was the night of the Super Bowl, when the cops were called out because she made a huge scene at her neighbor’s house talking about how her neighbor’s husband loved her and that they were going to have a threesome with Brock Purdy. And the saddest part is that she has a daughter. But I already let them know I would take care of their grandkid as long as she wasn’t going down the same path. But either way I stand to take in a LOT of money. I mean, I do feel kind of bad since they have a kid, but their judgement is right so it’s just a sad truth of the situation at this point.

Anyone else been through something similar who is willing to provide tips on how to navigate smoothly??

1) You are inheriting money, but you are also inheriting the attention of a dangerous lunatic.

2) If she is saying stuff like that and causing enough of a scene to get police called...best case scenario she has schizophrenia which is awful...but it is better than Borderline Personality Disorder which is what she probably has.

3) You need a realistic plan for maintaining your physical safety when that lunatic finds out you have "stolen" (which is how she will view it) her inheritance. We're talking physical assault, false rape accusations, telling her future boyfriends that you raped her and stole her money...etc.

Unless you have other siblings with other children...responsability for continuing the bloodline falls to you.

First off, congrats.
Second, get a restraining order. Your brother’s càwk spawn sounds real unhinged.

Sounds like she needs to be institutionalized. Any way you can get involuntary commitment?

Yeah they’ve considered that. Right now my wife is leaning towards just getting her locked up in jail since she does so much crazy illegal sh!t. Unfortunately we live in Cali so it’s practically impossible to get someone arrested these days. But it’s even harder to have them institutionalized. The system is collapsing from the weight of all the crazies so they practically told us if she doesn’t put herself or someone else in the hospital we might as well not even try….and even then it’s likely that nothing will come of it. We’re also looking around for some cults for her to join. There is a surprisingly large amount of them here, and she would be a good candidate. So far, no luck on that front though.
