I had a 21700 battery I use for my vape in a pocket in my backpack that exploded once. I had a few things in the pocket with it like my keys. The battery started making a fizzing noise and smoking and in less than 10 seconds exploded and caught fire. The little battery blew a huge hole in my backpack and destroyed my key ring, unopened water bottles, and pretty much everything in my backpack. Those little batteries can make a big explosion.
