I don't actually feel any contempt for Voidgaze.

It's just fun to roast him because his overreactions are always entertaining.

He does his best so he's not a true loser. The only thing we can control is our effort. The results are up to luck/fate/jesus/allah/vishnu.

Who I do feel contempt for example would be Legz422. That there is a true loser who always posts life advice like they're an expert on everything.

I thought it was hilarious how everyone kept trying to say a staged interview was all real.

With AI generated video on the rise I can see a lot of you falling victim to fake stuff srs.

You just wanted her to be that dumb because she's black and it fits the bias. (Maybe not you personally). Otherwise the OP wouldn't have made a point to put "Black" in the thread title.

He put me on Helldivers 2 and I'm enjoying it. Completely unaware of him outside of that.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I mean that's true though.

If you can't play an instrument, read sheet music, or anything that musicians do, how are you a musician?

Making music has become far too easy for everyone who makes beats in frootyloops to call themselves musicians. You can be successful in the music industry and have close to zero actual musical talent. Social media turned everyone into a producer or "musician"

Most rap songs are also produced terribly balanced, be it on purpose for more bass, but more so because many of these garage producers have no idea how to actually do it properly.

Based, can't really explain it better than anything else.

Even Tyrese can go into his bathroom, put a mike in the ceiling with a piece of toilet paper on his "My first mic" product. Then start rapping about how is dad left him and his mother is a whore. How bishes aren't worth the squeeze because they make you bleed and how they like to pee while draining you like an amputee.

See, I fuking freestyled right there and I don't have a brain hemorrhage.

Singing is considered music, so singers are musicians by default

Your personal biases of what you consider 'art' doesn't really have anything to do with it

Imo they are still musicians. Question lies wether anybody wants to listen to them or not

Singers learn keys and octives and a ton of music related training to actually be good singers

Rappers don't. Sure there are many rappers who are musicians also, but many aren't. They have 0 music knowledge outside of best making on software that basically does it for you anyways.

I never made any comments on what is "art" so don't get too snobby

Saying anyone who raps or sings is a musician is silly. That means anyone who sings a song is a musician? No. You have to study and learn about music to be a musician. Instruments, keys, how to play them, how to sing, how to read sheet music.

I'm not speaking on a personal bias at all. Just from a technical standpoint. Simply rapping doesn't make you a musician. Making a bowl of cereal doesn't make you a chef.

You have to train and learn to become a chef

You have to train and learn to become a musician

Theres a reason kids take chrous and band in school. Because being a musician is an actual skill with required learning.

PS, I love hip hop music and have been to scribble jam more than once and have seen some legends battle. So it has nothing to do with me not liking rap music. I just know when someone isn't a musician.

I appreciate the clarification. That whole musician debate came from the fact they thought it was all real in the first place.

They're not going to concede though.

He’s a bit of goofball but pretty harmless, don’t think he’s a fan of me LOL

I used to spend all my time on lots of video game forums, knew legit dozens of people exactly like him. Believing themselves to be intellectually superior without any substantial life evidence/results to back it up just high on their own farts

A musician is anyone that plays or creates music. Its not a profession in of itself

Right but you're just saying anyone who makes music is a musician. I guess technically that can be true, but it's not really.

It's like saying everyone who plays pick up basketball is a basketball player

Everyone who cooks is a chef

Everyone who solves a math problem is a mathematician

You get what I'm saying? Sure it's technically music being made. I can go make a beat right now with 0 knowledge, but that doesn't really make me a musician.

Most people have enough sense to not call themselves "xxx" over an activity they do at an amateur level with no training.

If a rapper can't play an instrument, can't sing, can't read sheet music, how is he a musician?

I guess we are just all musicians? I'm a musician now because I was drumming on my keyboard with my pen? Lmao come on man you know what I mean.

Like I said anyone can be a musician- question lies whether there's any demand for their music or not.

You can still be a chitty musician with 0 or very little demand for your music
