Fine Dining is a SCAM (knowledge drop)

Another top tier JuicePro sage knowledge drop:

fine dining is a scam in general. thats why men dont 'fine dine' alone. its an impractical activity, food is mediocre, and you're left w big bill for food u didn't like or not enough food. **** id rather just stay home most days, have girls come by to hang/watch a movie/bone, stock up on high protein meals and eat out at places that are high protein + affordable

good day

I mean usually their food is higher quality and better prepared than normal restaurants, but yes, it's insanely overpriced. Better off cooking at home 99% of the time.

OP, fine dining isn't about the food... It's about spending time with good people in an environment free of plebs - cause plebs can't afford the bill.

Yes, the food at the local mom & pop Italian restaurant is 10x better than some of the upscale restaurants... but the problem is that too many damn plebs are in those Italian restaurants.

Some of it is a scam like truffle oil, tapas restaurants in the US. It's not meant for everyday, or even weekly IMHO. Maybe I'll feel differently on the weekly part when my kids are grown.

can confirm, I am a Nobu Sushi chef, while it is possible to get amazing food at NOBU it is basically a fancy mcdonalds....if the NOBU sushi chefs have a good sounding special its probly way better than the usual fair.

I can make great amazing food at NOBU with the ingredients we have, bit for the most part I can make better low cost sushi from stuff at walmart if I so wanted with my skill.
But you can get top tier A5 wagyu at nobu and fois stuff like that, depends part on location....NOBU is a franchise like Mcdonalds it really depends on the location it can vary a lot.

Fuk off...

Fine dining is incredible. You'll experience flavours, tastes and sensations that you just don't get from standard restaurant grub.

HOWEVER, you do always over-pay for it. That's just how it works, unfortunately.

I'll give an actual handy trick though when it comes to fine dining, specifically michelin stars. There is usually very little difference between 1, 2 and 3 michelin star places, but you'll end up paying extortionate amounts for the latter two.

I think the optimal approach, which requires effort/connections unforutnately, is to identify which restaurants are gunning for a michelin star. You'll get amazing food without the michelin price. Once they get a star the prices likely get more and more extreme from that point forwards.
