I've regularly gotten sunburns in April. Such is life as a pasty white-cel.

The winter here was fuked. It started early, like around Halloween, and it just died in mid-February. It was melting at that point. I can't remember the last time this happened. Thanks, global warming. Most mild winter I think I ever experienced. An absolute mindfuk.

Given the lack of snowfall, I ended up paying my snow removal service like 300$ per visit dead fkn srs lol

Same. It's so life affirming to be out in the sunshine, see the grass, and breathe the fresh air. So is opening the windows and airing out the house + hanging laundry out in the fresh spring air. Sheets washed and fabric softened + hung outdoors is one of my favorite aromas.

Same, I was just thinking about that. It'll be nice it not being dark at fwarking 4:30pm. It's pretty wild that it's light out at 9:30pm in the summer and dark by 5pm in the winter.

Nice. What are you growing this year?

I've started seeds indoors in the past but it doesn't work logistically anymore, so I just plant in late May. There's potential for frost until end of May in these parts so I plant pretty late in the season. I've always wanted to grow those gigantic atlantic dill pumpkins but I've failed in the past. Pumpkins are wonderful to grow but they take up so much space. I usually just grow half a dozen tomato plants and a bunch of pepper plants to make sauces and stuff. Then there's the other stuff that's really fun to watch grow like cucumbers, zucchinis, eggplant, beans, etc. I have some pretty sizeable flower/medicinal herb/cooking herb gardens. I have a bunch of mature lavender that's really aromatic so it always smells like lavender around the front of my property.

The older I get, the more brutal this becomes.

Here in the great white north, I regularly BBQ outside shirtless and in flip flops when it's easily -10C out (srs). Such is life in the tundra.

After summer I’m usually ready to turn my fireplace on while just vegging and watching hockey but it gets dark at like 4:30 here and that’s a killer. By March I usually want to go jump off a bridge. Thankfully this winter I’ve spent a lot of time in California and Arizona and that helped. So ready for warmer weather and sun.

Grew watermelon last summer. It's really fun to watch but I wouldn't do it again. Like pumpkins, it takes up too much space.

Come around these parts in peak July when it's +40C 100% humidity out and you will know what true longing for the coolness and freshness of spring feels like as your gooch liberally drips sweat like Niagara!

Not really, I prefer Fall and Winter.

Later sunsets (I start and end my day early so I'm really not a fan), more people out, neighbors more likely to be out making noise, have to start doing yardwork, I prefer brisk temperatures, etc.
