I have 21k in my checking account right now.. normally keep it below 20k, put the rest in savings but never get below 10k.

Usually around 3-4k

Off today spent $540 at lowes, $400 at Sam’s and $275 at Home Depot, lol.

All monthly bills are paid though, my next two paychecks are going into savings.

10k in savings/emergency fund
Once I hit 3k in my checking I transfer to my investment account

That's really sad so many people are so financially illiterate they can't afford an emergency. I used to make about 46k/year and I still had the means back then to keep my head well above water. I wasn't even living in sum dat Dave Ramsey tiem

It takes a few sec to transfer money between savings and checking, but I keep $2,500 in each of our two checking accounts after the monthly bills are paid just to be safe. So $5k total.

well, for the next few days it will be over $50K. Have some money to pay contractors for windows (insurance work), money to pay contractor for tree removal, money to pay off credit cards. then it will be back down to 3-4K, with a few K in savings.

I only keep like 15k in there at a time. I keep the rest in my money market fund with fidelity or in my investments/brokerage
