All of this could have been prevented if Zelensky had implemented Minsk 2 and cracked down on the neonazis.

How is that even legal?

For starters, when the government concripts a soldier, they are paying them a decent minimum wage and giving them all sorts of benefits and accessories. That there at least provides some form of incentive to sign up for the military.

Secondly, lets say the Russians take over 20 acres of land that's privately owned. Who should be defending that 20 acres of land, the government or the land owner?

So, how can you legally force someone to defend your land if everything is privately owned.

If the land isn't privately owned and the government gets the resources, they should be giving the soldiers the right equipment and pay, instead of spending that money on stupid chit.

I personally think its better for a country to spend 60/40 of GDP for military and city building but it seems like Ukraine spend 30/70 on military and city building which is why they are asking so much money from the west.

Even then, being a well paid and well equipped soldier doesn't guarantee they'll fight. Look at the US and Russia lol. Not a single boots on the ground.
