Hot Take: PS Plus is better than Gamepass

PS plus has all the games of Gamepass plus hundreds more.


Xcels 'bought to start shaking uncontrollably about how Halo is worth it when they themselves don't even think Halo is good.

Both are fine

Whichever is better can vary depending on what's been added recently

Overall I think gamepass gets more newer games but admiteddly I have not turned on my ps5 in a long time to check out the free selection.

I don't think it's much of a hot take, I and many think it's easily better but they are kind of are different offerings. GamePass you get stuff on day one, while PS Plus you have to wait for most major titles, but there are many more modern highly rated and critically acclaimed titles on the service.

I have both subscriptions and they're both great and I personally find them to be on almost equal terms of offering more or less, end of the day it amounts down to which games you want to play, but both services have good offering.

Considering PS+ has lots of good games and PS exclusives it is the better service. The price hike was pretty chitty but they are in the middle of adding things like more PS2 games and probably PS1. The only thing Gamepass has going for it is day 1 games which i can wait for. Lots of those games will eventually make it to plus anyway so that point is pretty much moot. Theres not a single game on Gamepass that i want to play that i cant play on PS. The same cant be said for Xbox or Gamepass

And no its got nothing to do with being a fanboy. I know what games i like and if the roles were reversed id be playing on Xbox.

He has literally no idea, and half of the people who make these claims don't own both consoles to actually make first hand comparison.

Meanwhile nearly everyone who actually owns both systems and has both services says they are pretty much the same, with each one having its own set of benefits.


For someone to actually say "there isn't a single game I want to play on xxx system" is so completely cope it's hilarious. OK, there isn't one single game of the thousands available you'd want to play. Sure. OK.
