Anyone ever get the urge to just build sh!t outta wood?? Like a trebuchet?

I wanna go to Home Depot and make something cool. Anyone ever just get an idea and go do this for the hell of it?

I was reading the memoirs of Ulysses S. Grant and he was talking about how he used to make these little paper boats and a little makeshift river out of wood for the kids when it rained. Guy also built his first house with his bare hands and it made me feel like a useless p h a g g o t and now I wanna start up a project.

I've thought about building a cabin before and using it to go off grid for a few weeks a year. The problem with Britain is there just isn't a vast enough natural land where you could do that without some dog walker bytching to the council and I'm assuming you'd get a fine plus have to pay for it to be deconstructed plus attacked by tree hugging communist hippy knobjockeys, kinda sucks man..

Yea I’ve thought about going full Ted Kaczynski mode out in the woods but I wouldn’t last long, lol.

I’ve seen people build these little 10x10 foot wooden movie theaters in their backyard it looks fukkin sick.
