Recommend me some good horror movies misc

Just watched 'Hereditary' and it was bad. I watched Insidious 4 on the plane a day ago and it was even worse

Wtf mane. I just need a few good scares

What have you watched, what sort do you like?


I watched Incantation on Netflix. That was pretty decent. For me, I think Hellraiser is the GOAT horror movie. Clive Barker is a genius.

Honestly, politics aside and all the bullchit is hereditary a good movie objectively what do you give it out of 10 might watch this movie this weekend.

Started incantation but got annoyed with subtitles, might get back into it. I liked conjuring, the 1st insideous, sinister, the grudge, the ritual, and alot I can't recall

Cabin in the woods is my favorite. I have seen it like 500 times.

Not super scary but a piece of art man.


They deliberately incorporated so many references other works in the genre while still making the movie completely original. You cannot guess what happens next.

Those are mainstream hollywood trash horror, you are looking in the wrong places. Look for indie movies or foreign horror which is far superior. Hereditary was rated as a modern classic but it was the most derivative cliche crap I ever saw. I was litterally laughing at loud at the goofy exaggerated faces Toni Collette was making through the movie. They have no idea how to make good horror anymore. Its tiktok horror. Go watch old school 70s or 80s horror like the Omen.

Stuff like insidious series, the conjuring series, hereditary are trash.

OG Saw is fantastic. The low budget shows and the B plot is some Hamburger Helper cop bullchit, but the A plot fires on all cylinders. GOAT ending and GOAT horror music theme during the ending.

Tbh, The Wailing was one of the best I've seen in awhile. Hollywood couldn't put out a scary movie in last 10 yrs if they tried. Few were ok, but nothing top notch.
