How much fiber do you consume a day?
Based on the recent literature showing a significant increase in intestinal cancers among young adults, I've taken an interest in fiber, as a low fiber intake increases your risk of developing cancer. I saw the minimum recommendation is 30g/day, and I'm currently at 40g a day.
I'm just going to start typing random **** that I've discovered since increasing fiber:
- If your stools are liquidy/runny, you need more fiber. Fiber bulks up your stool and makes passing stool easier. If you have swamp ass, itchy azzhole, anal hygiene issues, or are self conscious about butt smell, increase fiber. Your azzhole is not supposed to be slowly leaking chit throughout the day.
- I added 1 bowl of oatmeal each day (1/2 cup steel cut oats) with a banana anddeveloped horrible gas and bloating. The gas would be farts every 10 minutes for 2 days lol. Although oatmeal doesn't contain that much fiber (4g fiber per serving,) adding fiber abruptly into your diet can fukk with your microbiome. Best to start with 2-3 times a week, then every other day, then every day, etc., unless you want your car to smell like farts every time you get in.
- There are two types of fiber (soluble and insoluble.) Just know that increasing fiber can constipate you. The constipation results from an abrupt increase in fiber intake and/or not drinking enough water.
If you're looking to get more fiber and don't want to do research to see what foods are the best, go toward plants. Oats, almonds, apples, bananas, chia seeds, and certain breads and beans are a good place to start. If you're too lazy to do that, just count your fiber intake today and see where you are.

Green vegetables like spinach and psyllium husk are my go to. They provide very little intestinal discomfort. Not enough fiber is probably the leading cause for high cholesterol. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

Sure, maybe if you have IBS, but it's still used as "filler" for whatever is passing through your intestines. I'd venture that no fiber diets are a result of misinformation and that some brahs here probably believe in it.

I eat muesli and it makes me fart like crazy. Also cabbage and carrots are great sources of fiber
