The steam engine era was so impressive Vs modern engines

Was watching a vid on Titanics engines and its mind blowing how they built this chit. Each engine was 750 tons, bolted to bed plates weighing 200 tons, generating 46,000 horsepower in total. Seems almost impossible how they could make such massive components to precision tbh. I bet there were so many deaths/injuries in the factories







Modern engines are cool and all and way more efficient but these giant constructions are something else

I believe the ship exists but I think these images are likely fake. No one could forge components that big back then. I bet the men in the bowels of the ship simply rowed the ship forward using big wooden oars which cant be seen from the surface. They may have had one small boiler just big enough to produce smoke from the chimneys
