I quit going 3 years ago because it was already busy by 5 am. Every place is super packed now I don't think around 50-80% of the population works at all anymore.

I usually train at 9am, and last week I had a morning meeting so ended up training at like 7:45am. The gym was fuking packed. I guess more people are back to work now?

sounds like commercial gym problems. What do you expect at these places that cost like $10-25 per month.
Go to a semi private facility that is $100 per month and you get rid of all the fake lifters that waste time on their phones or chatting.
Or better yet, make the investment and go home gym.
