There are several women in our group. But everyone here seems highly competent. I haven't met anyone here who is an idiot or a slacker. This is at a major tech company. About half of the group is Asian.

Pretty chill here, but there is always some scandal or BS but keeps it interesting.
I worked at this one place, toxic AF. Most of the people had their thing going for them, and the company kept them because they were so loyal. Reality is that the reason they stayed is they couldn't get away with the crap they did there. The reason new people never stayed is because new people got the crap they didn't want to do. All I got the whole time was BS work that didn't pay. When the main guys would go home or be on vacation, suddenly Id get good work and actually make a decent check. What really rubbed me raw is how when I put in my notice, they called up the manufacturer and complained that the other franchise poached me unfairly.
What's funny is that the company I am at now, just bought them but they don't know it yet, it's going to be brutal next month.
