Young & confused people often mix-up "socialism" with an idea of being empathetic to others.

In reality, communism removes your choice of where to buy. Removing choices removes competition. Competition is what drives innovation. Innovation is what leads to better more comfy lives and wealth.

I don't actually view them as exclusive. The core ideals of communism will live on forever, even if the USSR is gone. They live in every person who believes in and fights for justice and stands against imperialism and exploitation. The communists are all around you, even if we don't always call ourselves that. Those of us who seek to eradicate poverty, help the suffering, and prevent senseless war -- those of us who oppose greed and want to improve the living and working conditions, lives, education, and rights of all people -- are eternally united in our cause of liberation.

Capitalism is simply private ownership of means of production. But you could have a civilization that shares power and attains something Marx vaguely envisioned even with SOME form of privatization, provided the people support such a system.

If you're a normal person, capitalism, if you're some big government elite, communism.

Yet ironically, communist countries always seem to wind up becoming dictatorships where everyone's quality of life turns to chit with a massive government hellbent on waging war.

Couldn't have anything to do with America's commitment to destroy them...

China is doing pretty well.

Just lol if you follow socialism.

Tell me you're poor without telling me you're poor.
