My beef with political miscers. $ or country

Lets say you work your way up through marginally ethical means to the point that you can actually finance a low-level political position.

-Incoming temptations to get wealthy

Let’s say you are ethically sound and avoid those things
-your competitors do not
-be more “flexible”

Now that you are a legit politician by being flexible, who is your boss? Who do you answer to? The people?

-media
-opposition
-a hierarchy of people above you with their own interests tied to certain policies/bills/organizations, etc.

What can you do? Who do represent? Why are you there? Lobbyist control what happens, and your bosses boss answers to them

Just a chain of thoughts boyos.

This is an easy one. Make lobbying illegal. Impose a fiduciary duty on politicians to their constituents. Ban politicians from any type of trading, have some sort of generalized pension plan they can pay into and nothing more. Ban riders in legislature. Make fraud or accepting bribes punishable by death.

Public office should be a burden, not a get rich quick scheme.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Easy until it hits congress, where bills go to die.

Like I said earlier, that’s a sound solution. Now get congress to pass it.
