Do u think it's inherently bad to spend X # of hours in front of monitors per day?

discuss if u so choose.

asking bc i finally got my home office set up & chit brahs, i can check stocks anytime, code anytime, log on to the work computer anytime, watch some mayday air disaster anytime, etc.

edit

fuark i realized i wasnt specific enough & meant it for working professionals, if x number of hours a day or week in front of computer monitors not phones is inherently bad.

there is no doubt that teenagers glued to their phones at school almost all hours of the day is horrible.

Yeah, but that's true for anything when you reach those numbers. At that you're picking your poison.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

i think monitors are inherently bad but the worst aspects are 1) sitting on your ass all day, 2) short attention span from tiktokking

It's not a normal human state. All of that stuff and even modern technology itself came from alien beings within the three realms.
I was stopped behind a school bus recently and all the kids jumped off the bus looking down at their phones. I swear not a single one even looked up for one second.

It's not good but I do it every day

My pc setup has alot of screens and my gf makes fun of me because it's pretty silly and unnecessary

I'm staring at screens all day for work then sometimes even playing video game for a few hours after that

Brb I was a kid being told not to sit too close to the screen, now I have a racing simulator with a vr headset that sits 1 inch from your eyeballs.
