question for those of you who carry a credit card balance

I usually pay in full my cc statement. I didn't do it last month so now I have an interest charge. If I pay the full month's statement amount, I will not be charged anymore interest for the next billing cycle right? Or do I need to pay my total charges, including ones that are not included on the statement balance?

Had a credit card since 2001 or something.

Only one time I somehow left a balance until the next month and I owed the bank 20 cents in interest or something.

Never again. My CC pays me thousands of dollars a year to use it, and i've only even had to pay that 20 cents worth of interest.

Interest is for financially dumb people to pay.

Exactly. That’s what banks are counting on. If you’re not using a cash back (or other) rewards credit card and never paying interest then you’re doing it all wrong.

If you pay the statement balance, you won't be charged interest.
