Shoulder impingement vs rotator cuff injury

I've been dealing with a sore shoulder for about 3 weeks. I tried to lift around it, but after a week of increasing pain I gave up on it. I've been icing it daily along with advil and aleve.

It hurt everywhere for a while, and any rotational motion like turning the steering wheel hurt, but now the pain is focused in the upper front part of my shoulder joint. It particularly hurts when I sleep, and gets worse when I get laid when I'm on top.

I did some dead hangs earlier today and it seems to have relieved some of the pain. I was worried about trying them because I don't imagine it would be good for a rotator cuff tear, but I decided fuk it.

misc doctors is it an impingement or a rotator cuff injury

if impingement what do?

If rotator cuff I suppose I'm fuked and need to do to a real doctor and possible surgery.

Pretty sure if you got an impingement you should just let it rest
