I can barely squat much at all. I can do like 225 lbs 4 reps for 4 sets. That's about it. Too much pressure on my back and knees.
I still do them though

barbell back squats are absolutely a waste of time. they also increase hunger by so much, which isn't good for cutting
bodyweight squats, pistol squats, bulgarian split squats, goblet squats are all better
box jumps and sprints are functional, and useful through everyday life (escaping, jumping over stuff, etc)

Most people need to work on their mobility before they squat heavy. Squats are absolutely not a waste of time, strong cope from those who can't squat

I am old school and think that people who dont squat are simply afraid to put in the hard work.
Sure, some people have injuries but most dont.

Squats are not a waste of time. But people are stupid and they do not understand that they need to work on their mobility, form and technique and NOT use moron weights when doing them.
Aged brahs, could skip deadlifting but should try to keep bench pressing and squatting, LIGHT.

Hack squats are better anyways. Can go insanely hard on the legs and still have a fresh back for a pull workout a few days later
