Is clogging the toilet just an old wives tale?

Every dude and his dog has some cool funny story about how he took a dump so big he clogged his girlfriends toilet but is that actually possible? Never in my life have I dropped a log big enough to literally need breaking up with the toilet brush to flush it down. And I've dropped some massive logs in my time
